If you're expecting pregnancy to be filled with sympathetic people, all too willing to help you, then get yourself to a train station and think again!
Any station will do, but the best effects can be achieved by going to any London station (overcrowded tube ones preferrable) around 8.30am or 5.30pm during the week. Bank is particularly good for this as the city gents turn out to be anything but. Let us help you...

There's nothing that makes a mum laugh more than the first time pregnant woman, who says with all honesty that she "can't wait until after the baby is born so that I can get some sleep". Ah, if only it was like this. When you start having broken sleep during pregnancy it is just the start of the end...

Welcome to the joys of your first trimester. Morning sickness is one of the first symptoms so you might even start suffering long before you know you’re pregnant. Get stocked up on ginger and peppermint tea and make sure someone is around to hold back your hair...

If you only ever do one thing for your own well being whilst pregnant, this should be it! Sitting with a class full of strangers discussing formula milk might not sound that exciting, and frankly it’s not, but it’s what comes after the birth that is important...

One of the wonderful side effects of pregnancy is a womans capacity to produce voluminous amounts of the foulest smelling odours. If you are affected by this you are not alone and can at least take comfort in the knowledge that other pregnant women the world over are currently doing just the same as you...

Tents as frocks, ponchos or Primark leggings and a smock? Whatever you wear, you won't be the first to complain about the lack of maternity wear or the price of what is available. If you're thinking about rushing out and spending your money on maternity clothes, don't bother. It might seem tempting to do so, but believe us, you are going to need that money once the baby arrives...

Tiredness is usually worse if you already have one or more children, or are carrying more than one child. So if this is your first sproglet and you know there's only one in there - consider just how lucky you are to be feeling exhausted, as opposed to absobloodylutely knackered with no chance of reprieve...
